Doctor Espinosa Custodio has opened his medical practice in Mexico.

Due to the large number of patients traveling from Mexico to Madrid for surgery with Dr. Espinosa Custodio, and in order to provide more personalized care, the Medical Institute of Prado establishes its new private clinic in Mexico City, starting from March 2024. It will offer exclusive services in hair transplantation, treatments, consultations with experts, and a warm, pleasant, and discreet environment.

The hair transplant surgery can be carried out in Mexico or traveling to Madrid.

Doctor Espinosa Custodio

Talking about Doctor Espinosa Custodio means talking about one of the most prestigious hair transplant surgeons in Spain. Since 2016, he has been exclusively dedicated to hair medicine, having performed hundreds of surgeries since then.

Born in Tabasco and having graduated in Medicine and Surgery from Universidad Juárez Autónoma de Tabasco, the doctor then moved to Spain. There, he continued his education and started as a General Practitioner in Asturias. After that, he started his education in hair medicine, completing many master’s degrees in different disciplines such as aesthetic, dermatology, and hair transplants.

He is recognized by prestigious societies and organizations such as the European Organization of Hair Restoration Professional (FUE Europe), the Spanish Society of Aesthetic Medicine (SEME), the Spanish Society of Hair Restoration (SERECAP) or the Global Hair Loss Summit (GHLS).

Hair transplant in Mexico

Doctor Espinosa Custodio offers the possibility of carrying out hair transplant surgeries in Mexico. He travels twice a year together with his specialized team to the Mexican capital. There he performs hair transplant surgeries as well as the following checkups, following all health recommendations.

Consultations

Consultations with the doctor can be online or on-site (From June 15^th to July 15^th and February).

In the online consultations, the doctor makes his first contact with the patient and analyzes how he can help them. If it is a clear case of androgenic alopecia, and a hair transplant can be done, the treatment will start. A pharmacological treatment will then be prescribed and shipped from Spain so that the scalp is ready for the procedure that will be carried out in February or June/July.

On-site consultations will be scheduled in February and June/July. In them, the doctor will analyze the patient’s situation in situ and will plan the surgery. Checkups for patients who have already had a hair transplant in the previous months will also be scheduled on-site.

The following checkups and specific treatments will be done at Dr. Espinosa Custodio’s clinic in Mexico. Every 6 months, the doctor travels to the country to visit all his patients.

The diagnosis visit has a price of $1,250 MXN. Checkups are included in the total price of the surgery.

Hair transplant in Mexico

Dr. Espinosa Custodio does hair transplant surgeries in Mexico with the same excellence protocol and guarantees as in his private clinic in Madrid. He uses the FUE and DHI techniques for extraction and implantation, respectively. These are the newest techniques and the ones that allow us to achieve the highest quality and most natural results.

Doctor Espinosa usually grafts around 1,500 follicle units per session. This condition is part of our excellence protocol and with it all follicles (grafts) survive in the grafted area. Thanks to this process we make sure that all grafts are placed correctly, choosing the direction, depth, and position of each one of them.

If your case requires more follicular units to reverse the alopecia, a two-day surgery will be performed.

The cost of hair transplant in Mexico

Dr. Espinosa Custodio’s fees are calculated based on a scaling determined by the implanted follicular units, starting at $60 MXN per Follicular Unit (graft), including VAT. See rates

     ▪ Both extraction and implantation are performed by Dr. Espinosa Custodio.

     ▪ Dr. Espinosa Custodio typically attends only two surgical patients per week.

     ▪ There are no extra costs to add to this amount.

     ▪ Follow up visits are included until discharge.

In case of of restoration of previous surgeries, scars, eyebrows, beards, no-shave and mini-sessions or short surgeries pricing starts at $100 MXN pergraft.

The minimum price for a surgery is $80,000 MXN.

Hair transplant in Madrid

For patients from Mexico that decide to come to Spain for the hair transplant we have designed a special protocol:

     ▪ Online diagnosis consultation at any time or on-site in the months of February and June/July.

     ▪ The procedure will be carried out at Dr. Espinosa Custodio’s clinic in Madrid, Instituto Médico del Prado.

     ▪ Checkups will be done in Mexico.
