The applicable technique and rate will be determined during the medical assessment, especially in repair cases or patients with a previous hair transplant.
Fee calculation per Follicular Unit (FU) and minimum charges
Fees are calculated based on the follicular units required for each patient, the chosen modality, and the doctor performing the hair transplant.
For example, for a fully shaved hair transplant of 2,000 FU:
- With Dr. Espinosa: €6,000.
- With Dr. Gallardo: €5,000.
The following minimum charges apply:
- Minimum charge of €4,500: For fully shaved hair transplant, beard, and eyebrows.
- Minimum charge of €5,000: For all other modalities (partial shave, window shave, unshaved, etc.) and in cases of a previous hair transplant.
These minimum charges apply to both doctors. If the calculation by follicular units falls below the corresponding minimum, that minimum charge applies.

The diagnostic consultation fee is paid upon confirming the appointment. It is deducted from the quote if a hair transplant or hair treatment is subsequently performed. If neither is performed, the fee paid for the consultation is non-refundable.
Consultations associated with hair treatment sessions are included. The hair transplant includes follow-up consultations until medical discharge, which usually takes place at approximately 12 months.
Hair Diagnosis
The hair diagnostic consultation is performed by the doctors at Instituto Médico del Prado. It includes a clinical assessment of the case and, for in-person consultations, an examination of the scalp. Following the consultation, a medical report is provided with the diagnosis and the recommended treatment plan.
During the in-person consultation, a hair study is also performed using digital dermoscopy with Canfield’s HairMetrix. This system makes it possible to analyze parameters such as hair density and hair shaft thickness.
During the video call consultation, the assessment is based on clinical information, photographs provided by the patient, and the evaluation carried out during the medical interview. The dermoscopy study with HairMetrix can be performed later during an in-person consultation or on the day of the hair transplant or hair treatment.
Follow-up Process
Medical follow-up makes it possible to assess the patient’s clinical progress and response to treatment. During in-person consultations, when indicated, an objective assessment can be performed using digital dermoscopy with Canfield’s HairMetrix. This system allows parameters such as hair density and the thickness of follicular units to be compared throughout the follow-up.
Follow-up consultations make it possible to review therapeutic guidelines and adjust dosages when necessary. The frequency of these consultations is established according to clinical progress and response to treatment. The prescription and renewal of medical treatment are always carried out at the physician’s discretion, during the consultation and based on each patient’s clinical progress.
