Capillary Carboxytherapy in Madrid

Carboxytherapy: Recover your hair

Capillary carboxytherapy is an excellent treatment performed by Dr. Espinosa Custodio when indicated in his medical diagnosis. This procedure stimulates scalp blood circulation through subcutaneous injections of carbon dioxide (CO2) that activate hair regeneration.

Using sophisticated equipment, we introduce sterile CO2 gas subcutaneously or intradermally. Through small, virtually painless, and minimally invasive microinjections, visible results are achieved, such as tissue revitalization due to oxygenation and neovascularization.

What are the benefits of capillary carboxytherapy?

  • Significant hair revitalization by stopping hair loss and restoring natural health.
  • Increased blood microcirculation, improving the supply of nutrients and oxygen to the scalp and follicles.
  • Enhanced blood flow speed within the microcirculation.
  • Vasodilation of arterioles and metarterioles.
  • Capillary vasodilation and neoangiogenesis (creation of new capillaries).
  • Bohr Effect: Increasing CO2 concentration reduces hemoglobin’s affinity for oxygen, allowing it to be more easily released into the tissues.
  • Promotion of collagen and elastin formation and replacement.

Ideally, one session per week or every 15 days is recommended, for a total of 4 sessions. There is no recovery period required after treatment; patients can return to their daily activities immediately without complications.

At Instituto Médico del Prado, carboxytherapy can be combined with other therapies like capillary mesotherapy or PRP to enhance and accelerate results.

The effects usually become visible after a few months, depending on the patient’s evolution. It is particularly effective for recovering hair density in the crown area, which is typically one of the slower areas to respond to treatment.

In addition to hair medicine, carboxytherapy is also used to treat localized fat, stretch marks, and cellulite in areas such as the chin, thighs, and abdomen.

Instituto Médico del Prado has a closed agenda for this treatment.
